Again this morning, the 3 year old in the White House took to Twitter to attack his own Attorney General. This time, it was the following:
The kind of obvious response is, “I don’t know, why don’t you ask him?” Even some of the Republicans are disagreeing with his attack on the DOJ IG as “an Obama guy.” Both Grassley and Gowdy have said they have confidence in his ability to conduct a fair investigation.
The only reason I can think of that Trump might be doing these Tweets is that he’s been told he’ll trigger drastic political consequences if he fires Sessions, so he’s trying to make things uncomfortable enough for Session that he quits. Then he can appoint a new AG who won’t be conflicted in the Russia investigation, and has already secretly promised Trump that he’ll fire Mueller and his entire staff.
